Well, hey there!
Thanks so much for stopping by to learn more about Sassy At Home! If you have found your way to this page, you want to know a bit more about me, this blog, and choosing fun as a stay at home mom. I know your time is short and valuable, so let’s do this!
I’m a stay at home mom with three kids, three cats, and a dog. I have never had what you would consider a regular career, so I suppose my calling is being a mom. But sometimes I get REALLY bored.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t get bored in that “there is nothing to do” kind of way. I get bored in the “I’ve been doing the exact same thing day in and day out for the last 5 years and nothing ever changes and I just want to scream” way. I get stuck in a rut.
Add to that my clinical depression and anxiety. Then for variety my oldest child, The Boy, has ADHD. Overall, I deal with a lot of not-fun stuff!
Being a mom can be a soul-sucking job. So I decided to make a change! I decided to CHOOSE to have fun. I discovered that so often, the difference between having fun and being miserable is all in my attitude!
About The Blog
After feeling unseen, unheard, unnoticed for too long I decided I needed to get my voice out there! In February 2016 I started Sassy At Home to get a little bit of attention. I have always been the kind of person who needs an audience.
My passion has become helping other moms realize that they can CHOOSE FUN as well! We all have to deal with our issues. We have to do the cleaning, cooking, and general homemaking. But we can nurture ourselves as well. We can have fun in the little moments. We can make big moments to have fun.
What’s in it for YOU?
You can choose fun, too. Gain inspiration, encouragement, and even a little entertainment from Sassy At Home. You’ll find resources for parenting through the fun and not-so-fun times. There’s also general homemaking advice, recipes, and reviews.
One thing that is important in choosing fun is to know what you like to do. Explore new things you can try! Laugh a little (even if it is AT me not WITH me).
Money never hurts and finding a way to make some while staying home with kids could be its own job. Check out my Blogger Resources if you think you are a blogger at heart and might want to make money doing it!
